Henry George was born in 1791. the son of Lieutenant General Sir John MacLeod and his wife Emily. He rose to the rank of Colonel. He was a Knight of the Hanoverian Order of Guelp and of St. Wladamir. He was three times Governor of Trinidad between 1840 and 1846. On 25 Feb 1843 he married Henrietta, the fifth daughter of the Venerable Sir John Robinson, 1st Bt and Mary Anne Spencer. He died on 24 August 1847. He was buried at St. Peter and St. Andrew Churchyard, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England. [1]
