Hi

Congratulations, you have now been a WikiTree member for one month! Here are some further ideas to help you make the most of our site.

Beyond The Basics of WikiTree is a guide to some more advanced features of WikiTree.

If you haven’t found us already, WikiTree is active on many Social Sites. We also have a blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways.

Hi Heather,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. You are now a member of the WikiTree Community.

Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help section],or head over to the G2G forum, you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our a_Mentor Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)

Hello, I have registered as a Guest and uploaded a GEDCOM which started with my maiden name MacLeod and grown from there. I am currently going over the matches. I would like to volunteer to help grow WikiTree. I'm not sure if you require any other information?

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

Hi Heather,

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for every person.

A couple suggestions to get you started:

1. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum .

2. Our help pages, top right, have all sorts of useful information.

If you would like to contribute, click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile to let our greeters know. You should include a little bit about how you plan to contribute to the tree.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
