After the death of wife Sally, he married Sarah Long in 1810 - parents of Lucy, Moses and Stephen Henry Lyman

He was a Surgeon during the War of 1812

He is buried at Parade Ground Cemetery, Warner, Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA
