Biography
My name is Brandon and I am from St. Landry, a small town in Evangeline Parish. I currently reside further north in the state in Alexandria, LA.
I've been researching my Lutz Family ancestry for about 3 years now. I'm interested in the Lutz's of the early St. Landry Parish, particularly those of my kin that settled in the area known locally as Lutz Hill, just outside of Bayou Chicot. (Which now resides in Evangeline Parish as of 1910)
My Lutz ancestors came from the Ingwiller area of Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. My 4th GGF arrived with his brother in 1828 in New Orleans. I've been fortunate enough to find many records and have some French genealogists help me piece together some missing info in my family tree. I've also been able to successfully trace my French ancestors back to their original German roots with the discovery of 12th GGF, Wolff Lutz, from the Baden area of Germany.
