BIOGRAPHY
Not knowing enough about my near-immediate family led to work on my genealogy, to help see if I could better understand what shaped us. I think that many people study their family lineage in the hope of discovering something special, like a famous ancestor. What happens instead is more special; we find names and dates, and often very little else about people whose lives and problems were just as important to them as ours are to us. Now they are facts on a page. This means all my little troubles will one day be forgotten, too, as I lose myself into the whole of existence. I find this freeing. You can be special, but only in the present, and in the memories of those left behind.
My genealogy is full of Quaker roots, and out of curiosity I attended a meeting, to get a feel for what my ancestors were like. Long story short, my wife and I now attend Quaker meetings weekly, and I have joined the Religious Society of Friends Buffalo Monthly Meeting. There's an example of genealogy changing someone's life!
As long as I can recall, I have wanted to entertain people, and to that end, I studied theater at Niagara University, and have worked off and on as a professional actor, singer, and voice-over artist. Falling into a good job with a public utility, I worked there for over 30 years, and finished my career as a member of the Operations Department. Having the good fortune to be able to retire at a young age, I have returned to the stage, occasionally working with my wife, who is a jazz singer.
My hobbies include physical fitness (running, bicycling, hiking) and travel throughout the U.S. After my wife, the great love in my life is my dog.
SOURCES
You will find my name and birth date engraved beneath my late wife's name (Mary E. McDonough Lundy) on a columbarium in the churchyard of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, on Grand Island, New York, USA. My remains will not be there, and neither will a date of death. Life never goes the way you expect.

I just noticed WT does not have a profile on William Wade Hinshaw who compiled American Quaker Genealogies. Wasn't he a son of a Anna Harriett Lundy?
Cheers!

Just checking if you can review the request I sent for John Morton, Thanks!
Nice job on the Lundy's Lane page. I have added a link to your page on the War of 1812 projects Major Battles page.

Still buried in snow?
I just picked up an orphaned profile Schooley-13. I also found a new reference http://schooley.us/genealogy/APioneerSchooleyFamily.pdf see pg 17. Which shows her marrying a soon to be Judge Lundy 1751. I have initiated merges for 4 profiles for an Ann, Anna, Annie, Anne Schooley d/o Samuel and Avis. Do you have an already sourced profile that also matches. Parents/Daughter/DOB/ POB is 4 star on My Heritage.com.
Cheers!
Perhaps Gedcom gibberish clean-up may help.
Cheers!
