I think I added you to the trusted list for my tree and Jacques. Let me know if it works!
I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to also check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know, and I can help you figure out if there's a project that might interest you. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!

Hi Cora,

This should help with your GEDCOM import.

You will find answers and help here: GEDCOM Help

If you have a problem and need help you can contact the Wiki GEDCOM manager Eowyn Langholf.

To answer your other question, you can type a name into search at top of your profile to see if that person has a profile on WikiTree

Hi Cora,

Thank you for your note!

I wanted to suggest that you add your tag(s) to show any surnames you are researching. When you list a surname, location or historical event in your tags, you can then click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names, locations, etc.

You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.

Information on Tags can be found at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags

Please let me know if you have any questions! :-)

Hi Cora, I see that you just volunteered and signed our honor code. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically significant ancestors? I see you have surnames for tags. Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Let me know if you need any help! We're glad to have you on board!!

Hi Cora, You are now a member of the WikiTree Community - We are building One Collaborative Tree, with just one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add, please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Also, be sure to include a list of the sources used, on each profile you add.

If you need help getting started, view this introductory WikiTree video. Also, check out the Help Index and the G2G forum. - Good luck growing your branches, Patt -

I'm happy to contribute if I can. I found your shared tree while searching for my roots outside the USA; my goal is to eliminate (as much as possible) the growing confusion that I found on other sites.

I have read and agree with your mission and 9 rules.

Hello & Welcome, to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

Feel free to ask questions at our G2G forum. Also, our help pages menu, top right, has some very useful information.

The Honor Code is why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it. Want to join us? Check the volunteer box and leave a brief comment about your genealogical interests. - Happy researching, Patt -
