Jane Ludwell was a daughter of Phillip Ludwell and Lucy Higginson.[1] Her exact birth date is unknown, but her parents married about November 25, 1667. Also, Jane was about 15 years old when she married in about 1685. Therefore, her birth date has been guessed as 1670. She was probably born in the Virginia Colony.
This profile previously reported she was born in England on 1672 (without evidence or citation).[citation needed]
Jane married about 1685 to Daniel Parke, Jr., b 1669[1][2] According to the Encyclopedia Virginia, both Jane and Daniel were about fifteen years old when they married.[2] Their marriage was generally an unhappy one, and they later became estranged.[2]
Jane and Daniel had three daughters, two of whom survived to adulthood:[2]
Jane died in September of 1708 in the Virginia Colony.[2]
This profile previously reported that Jane died on 1746 in Green Spring, Virginia, USA.[3]Note: This is probably a reference to a different Jane Ludwell. Philip Ludwell II inherited Green Spring Plantation in 1710.
