Biography
Lucinda Lucas was born October 12, 1822, the daughter of Richard W. Lucas and Mary Ann (Dick) Lucas. On October 24, 1844, in Highland county, Ohio, Lucinda married Isaac Newby (1806-1900) Children of Lucinda and Isaac include:
- Elizabeth Newby, born August 26, 1845, in Ohio, died January 13, 1916, in Highland county, Ohio, married John Tompkins
- Ewing Newby, born 1847, died 1929, married 1) Nancy M. Hire and 2) Sarah Walker Anderson
- Judge Cyrus Newby, born February 7, 1855, died April 6, 1928
Lucinda died July 4, 1886, and is buried in the Stringtown Quaker Cemetery, in Highland County, Ohio. There is a photograph of her headstone on her Find A Grave memorial. [1]
