Need to split Kentucky into 4 sections: A-D; E-L; M-R; S-Y.

Which one do you want?

Shirley

Rose, I think you were interested in Missouri. We already have 5 people working in that state and only 450 profiles. Have almost 600 unsourced in Kentucky and only 2 people wanting to work there. Think you could take on a section of Kentucky?

Shirley

Still need to know what state(s) and/or surname(s) you will be working on for the Source-a-Thon. Also check the G2G post for updated information.

Hi Rose

Congratulations on your Pre-1700 Self-Certification! Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Or you're interested in a particular time period, location, or topic ? Let me know. I can help you figure out if any Projects fit your interests and introduce you to the Leaders.

Projects are a great way to collaborate on your ancestors' profiles and learn the naming conventions and other standards used for profiles from particular places and time periods.

Have you read Research Before Editing? The Sources Style Guide is also essential reading for working on pre-1700 profiles.

Have fun

Hi Rose ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies. If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles. Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
