Thomas was born in 1839. He was the son of John Larrimore and Frances Martha Longmire.[1]
Thomas Lowrimore lived with William Lowrimore in Fayette County, Alabama, USA, in 1860.[2]
Thomas J. Lowrimore was a private soldier in Company A, First Alabama Cavalry, part of the Union forces in the US Civil War.[3] He enlisted September 8, 1862, in Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi, for a term of one year. He mustered in October 1, 1862, in Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi.[4] He was sick in quarters during January and February 1863, and was present beginning in March, but was sick in quarters again in April 1863. He mustered out September 16, 1863, term as his term of enlistment was expiring.
Thomas was described by the army as being six foot 1/2 inches, dark complexion, gray eyes, dark hair, born in Fayette, Alabama, with the occupation of farmer.[5]
