Léopold Louis-Dreyfus (5 March 1833 - 9 April 1915) was a French businessman, founder of the Louis Dreyfus Group and patriarch of the Louis-Dreyfus family.

The French government awarded him the title Commander of the Legion of Honour in 1912.

Biographie

Léopold Louis-Dreyfus, négociant, banquier, armateur, Consul général de Roumanie, commandeur de la Légion d'honneur, est né à Sierentz (Haut-Rhin) le 5 mars 1835. Il est fils de Louis Dreyfus, commerçant à Sierentz, et de Victoire Victoire Hildenfinger, décédée en 1837[1].

Il est domicilié à Berne en 1860. Il épouse Emilie Lang le 1er août 1860 à Sierentz[1].

Léopold Louis-Dreyfus est mort le 9 avril 1915, en son domicile, 77 avenue des Champs-Elysées à Paris (8ème arrondissement), à l'âge de 82 ans[2].
