Biography

Another of the pioneers of Coffee County has passed away, thinning the line of Old Timers. Mrs. Elijah Paulk, 76 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Moses Griffin, in the city, last Wednesday at noon, and was buried in the Willacoochee Cemetery. Rev. W.M Tomlinson preached the funeral. Mrs. Paulk was the mother of Mrs. Griffin of this city. Her husband, still living, was ordinary of this county for a number of years. She has lived about with her children for some time, being at Mrs. Griffin's at the time of her death. Douglas News - November 1924
