Biography

Charles Harold Lord, the son of Henry A. Lord and Hattie Akin, was born in Ogdensburg, NY^[1][2] on May 26, 1889. He became a civil engineer.^[1][2] On April 7, 1915, he married Harriet Louise (Akin) Lord (1869-1919) in Ogdensburg,^[1][2] where they continued to live.^[3]

Charles served as Ogdensburg's City Engineer beginning in 1926, and succeeded his father and grandfather as superintendent of the city's waterworks.

Charles died on Dec. 28, 1950, and is buried in Ogdensburg Cemetery.
