Donald “Don” Ralph Long, 82, passed away on September 1, 2017. Don was born in Yanush, Oklahoma to Hiram and Nora Long on December 4, 1934. He served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1953 to 1959.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Hiram and Nora Long, brothers; Roger and Billy Ray Long and sisters; Glenna Eldredge and Monette Beach. </br> He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Zenta Long; children Jack and David Long; grandchildren Marissa and Austin; brother Oscar Long; sisters Maxine Johnson and Nellie Franklin; daughter-in-law Lori Long and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 West Thunderbird Road, Peoria followed by a Committal Service with Military Honors at 11:00 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
