Biography

Benjamin Sebright Lipscomb was born on 21 August 8141 in West Maitland, New South Wales, Australia, the son of Caroline Lipscomb and William Lipscomb.^[1]

He married Elizabeth Sommerville Ward in 1870 in New South Wales.^[1] Their children were:^[1]

• Robert William Lipscomb (1872–1872)
• Louisa Jane Lipscomb (1873–1940)

Elizabeth died in 1873.^[1]

Benjamin remarried, to Phoebe Gertrude Maunsell.^[1] Their children were:^[1]

• Victor Maunsell Lipscomb (1888–1940)
• Vero Benjamin Lipscomb (1891–1956)
• Dorothy Grace W. Lipscomb (1896–1938)
• Winifred Houghton Lipscomb (1897–1956)

Benjamin died on 18 October 1913 in Mosman, New South Wales.^[1]
