Biography

Birth

Ferdinand Linze was born about 1850 in Switzerland.[1][2]

Marriage

Ferdinand married Anna (last name at birth unknown) before 1870. Edward, the first known son of Ferdinand and Anna was born on 18 Oct 1870 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA.[3] Their second known son William was born about 1871-72 in Evansville, Vanderburgh, Indiana, USA.[4][2]

Death

The location and date of Ferdinand's death is unknown. He appears in the 1876 Indianapolis City Directory working as a machinist boarding at 240 S Delaware.[5] Their sons Edward and William Linze were living in the German Protestant Orphan Asylum in Indianapolis in the 1880 Census.[1] Therefore, it is likely Ferdinand died between 1876-1880 in Indiana.
