When Joanna Lines [1] was born on 14 July 1903, in Pima, Graham, Arizona, United States, ^[1]her father, Samuel Edwin Lines, was 26 and her mother, Rhoda Asenath Merrill, was 23.

Joanna married Forrest Wyant Winkfield (1899-1986) on 26 May 1927, in Pima, Graham, Arizona, United States. ^[2] They may have had at least 1 daughter, or adopted one. There were no children in the household until the 1950 Census which shows a 2 yr old child, and where Forrest's brother and sister-in-law and their several children shared the household ^{[3] [4]}
