Biography

Steven Wayne Lindsey (born August 24, 1960) is a retired U.S. Air Force officer and NASA astronaut. Lindsey served as Chief of the NASA Astronaut Office from September 2006 until October 2009.

1960 Born in Arcadia, Los Angeles, California, USA.
1982 Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences, United States Air Force Academy. Joined the Air Force. During his Air Force career, he was awarded the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
