Levi, child of Levi Lincoln & Martha, was born on 25 October 1782 in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[1][2]

Levi married Penelope Winslow (Sever) Lincoln (1786-1872) on 15 August 1807 in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[3][4][5]

  • Graduated from Harvard University in 1802; studied law; was admitted to the bar
  • Commenced the practice of his profession at Worcester in 1805;
  • Served in the Massachusetts State Senate in 1812 and 1813;
  • Member of the Massachusetts State House of Representatives 1814-1822 and served as Speaker of the House in 1822;
  • Elected Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts in 1823;
  • Appointed associate Justice of the State Supreme Court in 1824;
  • Governor of Massachusetts 1825-1834; declined reelection;
  • Elected as an Anti-Jacksonian to the Twenty-third Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of John Davis; reelected as a Whig to the Twenty-fourth and to the three succeeding Congresses representing Massachusetts' 5th District and served from February 17, 1834, to March 16, 1841, when he resigned;
  • Chairman, Committee on Public Buildings and Grounds (Twenty-fifth and Twenty-sixth Congresses);
  • Collector of the port of Boston, by appointment of President Harrison, 1841-1843;
  • Served in the Massachusetts State Senate in 1844 and 1845 and was president of that body in the latter year;
  • First Mayor of Worcester, Massachusetts in 1848;
  • Presidential Elector from Massachusetts on the Republican ticket in 1864;

Levi, son of Levi & Martha, died (age 85) on 29 May 1868 in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[7] Levi was mentioned on a memorial in Worcester Rural Cemetery, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States with a death date of 29 May 1868.[8]

Levi wrote his will on 3 February 1863, and added three codicils. The will is 22 pages. His estate passed probate on 7 July 1868.[9][10] Beneficiaries:
