Joseph Limousin, son of Hilaire Limouzin and Antoinette Lefebvre, married Marie Josephe Dubois, daughter of Jean Dubois and Jeanne Raux, on 25 Nov 1718 in Champlain (Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation)[2]
They had dispensation of the 3 bans. Named as present were François Limousin, brother of the groom, and Pierre Dubois. Only Joseph signed the record with the priest (Hazeur Delorme), the others having declared they could not.
They had the following known children (Note: names recorded are actual names used on records):
Joseph Beaufort, b 7 Oct 1719 bapt 11th Champlain; listed as Joseph Limousin dit Brunel on his marriage record to Marie Madeleine Maillot (Mailloux?) on 15 Nov 1745 in Deschaillons (his origin noted as Gentilly in Champlain parish)
Joseph Antoine Beaufort, bapt 21 Sept 1721 Champlain; as Antoine Beaufort dit Brunel he married Madeleine Carpentier dite Bailly 8 Nov 1751 in Champlain

Alexis Beaufort, b 25 Oct 1734 bapt 27th Champlain; died and buried same day 28 Apr 1735 St-Pierre-les-Becquets @ 7 m
Alexis Beaufort, b 14 Apr 1736 bapt 1 May Champlain; as Alexis Beaufort dit Brunel he married Marie Anne Pars (?) 6 Oct 1760 Champlain, both listed as residents of Seigneurie de Gentilly
Marie Geneviève Beaufort, b 20 Jan 1738 bapt 19 Mar Champlain (no further trace found of her)[3]
Note: Likely they are all born in Gentilly seigneurie, across the St-Lawrence river from Champlain[4]. St-Pierre-les-Becquets parish was only established in 1734. The priests were mostly missionaries in newer churches and were not in attendance permanently. The delay between births and baptisms would thus be explained. Winter travel with a newborn was simply not practical.
