Frank Allen Lessmeier (1925 - 1945)

Biography

Frank was born in 1925. He was the son of Frederick Lessmeier and Ruth Sliefert. Frank Lessmeier was a Pharmacist Mate 3rd Class in the Navy. He was serving with the 28th Marines, 5th Marine Division when he was killed during the battle for Iwo Jima. He is memorialized on the Honolulu Memorial in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
