Biography

Maria Lotta was born in Katarina parish 18 November 1791 to the wool felter Peter Lemberg and his wife Maria Blomberg.[1] Her birth year in the parish records is variously 1791 and 1792. When there is a month and day it varies between 18/10 and 18/11.

Maria Charlotta Lemberg was nine years old when her father died 28 June 1800. They lived in Stockholm Katarina, where Lemberg owned a house.[2] Maria Charlotta was registered in Katarina parish 1800 with her mother Maria Lemberg.[3] 1802-1806 Maria Charlotta Lemberg is living with her stepfather, coin worker Carl Erling. (Her mother seems to have died).[4][5]

Journeyman rope maker Anders Thungren married Maria Charlotta Lemmberg 8 December 1811.[6] They had daughters Johanna Charlotta (1812) and Sophia Carolina (1815). The family moved to Vadstena in 1816, where Thungren opened his own business. However, he died in 1817 and in 1819 Maria Charlotta went back to Stockholm.[7] Maria Charlotta Thungren lived on Kungsholmen with her daughter Sophia Charlotta.[8][9]

Widow Maria Charlotta Thungren, born Lemberg, married the tannery worker and widower Peter Noach Nordström 6 January 1833.[10][11] They lived in Bergsklippan Större with a foster son.[12][13]

From 1853 they lived in the poorhouse in Kungsholmen. Their names are not adjacent in the listing.[14][15] Maria Norström was still there in 1863.[16]

Maria Charlotta's mother, widow Maria Blomberg married coin worker Carl Erling 23 September 1802.[17]
