Biography
Jan was born before 1746. He is the son of Abraham LeFevre and Maria Bevier.[1]
Kingston baptism record for Jan Dec. 28 1746, #5910 in Hoes, lists parents as Abraham Lefevre and Maria Bevier. Witnesses were Andries Lefevre and wife Rachel Dubois [paternal uncle and aunt].
In 1772, Jan married Maria LeFevre, daughter of Matthew and Margaret (Bevier) LeFevre. They had four children:[2]
- Matthew (b-1774)
- Abraham (b-1776)
- Margrietje (b-1779)
- Samuel (b-1782)
Jan died in 1818.
