Biography

Daniel was born about 1818. He was the son of Samuel Leedy and Barbara Garber. His date of birth comes from his grave stone and is likely wrong as it conflicts with the birth date of his sister Anna. Whether his true birth date is before or after 1818 is unknown. Daniel married Mary Houston in 1840. ^[1] In 1850, the couple is enumerated on the federal census in Jefferson County, Iowa. ^[2] By 1860, they are in Oregon. ^[3] After the death of his wife, Mary, Daniel married Isabella Love (her married name). ^{[4] [5]} Daniel passed away in 1898, Linn County, Oregon. ^[6]
