Biography

Samuel Lee, oldest son of Stephen & Elizabeth (Woodward) Lee, married Mehitable Baldwin, daughter of John Baldwin & Experience Abell, on November 26, 1719, at Lebanon, New London, Connecticut Colony.

They had two children Israel and Samuel.

  1. Israel, born 21 Oct 1720
  2. Samuel, born 11 Sept 1728.

Samuel left a will that named his wife Mehitible and two sons Israel and Samuel.

There is a will left by Samuel Lee. In it it specifies his wife Mehitable and two sons Israel and Samuel. I do not think he was divorced. Even the book Genealogical and Biographical Record of New London County, Connecticut does not mention any divorce for this couple. Rachel Loomis needs to detached from Stephen Lee. Rachel Loomis married Stephen Lee of Great Barrington. Certainly not the same guy. I have detached Rachel Loomis and created another Samuel Lee for her.
