LE LOUTRE (LE COUTRE), Louise (arrival 1665), born in 1648; no document gives knowledge of her parents nor her place of origin. She married Nicolas Crevier, sieur de Bellerive, son of Christophe established in Trois-Rivières around 1665, probably in Cap-de-la-Madeleine. The marriage act has not been found. This couple is listed on the 1666 census (Sulte, Hist., 4 ; 63), in Trois-Rivières and their first child is three months old; they do not appear on the 1681 census. They had a child baptised on June 9, 1687, in Trois-Rivières, which allows to suppose that they were present in Canada in 1681.

Research notes

Marie Catherine Crevier was born in 1675 according to this site: Rootsweb on ancestry However, this site only gives an e-mail as source, and states she was born in Neuville. No evidence of such, her parents were established first in Trois-Rivières and then in Cap-de-la-Madeleine and also in Batiscan. Other items in the site page mix geography rather strongly, Maskinongé and Trois-Rivières are 2 very different places. To be taken with a large grain of salt.

While reviewing this profile I removed the place of birth (Honfleur) which is clearly unsupported by any source. I did leave "Normandie" (marked uncertain) because the name Lecoutre is prevalent in Upper Normandy and Picardy (Pas-de-Calais). See http://www.geopatronyme.com/cgi-bin/carte/nomcarte.cgi?numero=0029550&periode=1 - It should probably be removed and left to just France with a note of explanation. there is no evidence anywhere for her parentage nor origin, neither marriage contract nor marriage act survive, and no evidence she ever had any contact with the supposed brother. Whose name was Leloutre dit Berthelot. Her name on most records is Lecoutre/Lecoudre, Leloutre on only 2 records.

Can anybody tell me how the conclusion was made that she is sister to André Leloutre and daughter of these parents? I see no sources named for that match-up.

Berthelot-20 and Lecoutre-1 appear to represent the same person because: same woman, verified she is the spouse of Nicolas Crevier, there seems to have been some confusion on her name as Berthelot appears as her mother's maiden name, she is recorded as Lecoutre and variations of that name
