On 28 Feb 1815, Lieut. Rouse H. Leavitt and Mrs. Anne (Unknown) Wescott, both of Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), published at Livermore their intention to marry,[3] and they married at Livermore on 14 Mar 1815.[4]
Residences
Rouse Howland Leavitt and his two wives recorded 16 children at Livermore, Maine (in Massachusetts until 1820), between 1801 and 1833, eight with each wife.[5] At some point, Rouse Leavitt "exchanged farms with Sidney Turner of Turner."[6] He is shown living at age 92 in the household of his son, Clark Leavitt, at New Bedford, Massachusetts, in the 1865 Massachusetts State Census.[7]
Children
Rouse Howland Leavitt recorded the following children at Livermore, Maine (in Massachusetts until 1820). The first eight are with Anna (Robinson) Leavitt and the last eight with Anne (Unknown) (Wescott) Leavitt.[5]
No record has been found of the death of Rouse Leavitt. The 1865 Census is the last record found of him.[7]

The year is unclear—it appears to have been altered—but given the date of the intention, the date of the death of Rouse's first wife, and the birth date of their first child, it is surely 1815.
