Andrew was born 2 May 1908 in Carleton, Ontario, though his father lived in Hull, Quebec. ^[1] He was baptised 8 May 1908 in Notre Dame de Grace, Hull, Quebec. His godparents were Francis Reginald Leamy and Catherine Leamy. ^{[2] [3] [4]} He lived with his mother, aunt [McCall-1464|Agnes McCall], uncle [McCall-1462|David McCall], and [McCall-1460|grandmother McCall] on Bronson Ave, Ottawa in 1940. ^[5]

Andrew Stuart Leamy and Marie Justine McDonald were married in St. Anthony's church, Ottawa on 3 Oct 1941. They planned to live in Ottawa. ^[6]
