In 1840, there were eight free colored persons living in the home of Henry Boyd in Cincinnati Ward 1, Hamilton, Ohio. There was 1 adult female and 1 male 36-54, 1 male 24-35, 3 females over 10 and 1 male 10-23, and 1 female under 10.[2]
In 1850, the Cincinnati Ward 9 Census, Hamilton County, Ohio showed Emma Laws 75 living with Kesiah 58, and Henry Boyd 48, with 28 yo Sarah I and Charles C James 3. The entire family was described as mulatto. Henry was a bedstead manufacturer with real estate worth $20,000! A value of $175,000 in the year 2024.[3]
Kiziah Boyd died 8 Dec 1865 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States.
She was burried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnatti, Ohio. Grad LN, Section 52, Lot 77, Space 6[4]
