He was the son of Pierre Laurent and Constance Garinet. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Germain Lepage and Marie Guerinette. The officiating priest was Florentin Fauvre de Belleroche.[1]

He married Louise (Riou) Rioux, daughter of Nicolas Rioux and Louise Asselin, on 20 Oct 1739 in Saint-Germain de Rimouski. In the presence of known witnesses Pierre Lapage de St-Barnabe, Antoine Gagnon and Antoine Ruel. The celebrant priest was Charles Barbet. A two bans exemption has been granted.[2]

Death and Burial
Joseph Saint-Laurent, a resident of Rimouski, passed away on 6 Sep 1759, no age listed on act, in the Hôpital général, Notre-Dame-des-Anges, Québec. His burial was the same day in the cemetery of Hôpital général de Québec. The officiating priest was Rigauville.[3]
