Biography

Margaret Laswell was born in 1810,^[1] in Christian County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Elijah Laswell and Sarah “Sallie” Welcher.

She married Andrew Alexander on November 17, 1831 in Edmonson County, Kentucky.^[2] Children:

They lived in Hart County, Kentucky in 1850, where Andrew was a farmer and she took care of home and children.^[1]

Her husband Andrew passed away on November 17, 1870, in Kentucky at the age of 66. They had been married 39 years.

At age 70, and widowed she was living with her son James Alexander and family in 1880, in Blount County, Tennessee.^[3].

She died sometime after 1880.
