Hi Knud,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Knud! Thanks for approving my joining your trusted list. I'm trying to figure out how we are connected. Paul Bernard Gooderum was my grandfather, my mother's father. And he shows up on your family tree. I updated the information about PBG's wife, my grandmother, Elsie Margaret Schellenberger Gooderum, based on what my mother has told me. I notice you have Paul and Elsie's kids shown -- my mother and her two brothers, my uncles -- but their surnames are misspelled; should be Gooderum. If I can, I'll correct those entries but I'm new at this and maybe you know quicker than I how to do it. Also Alan's name is misspelled. Should be Alan, not Allen. Really fun and exciting to discover a distant family member in Denmark! Thanks again for approving our connection. ~Yvonne, in California
also i have found out that my nans parents were hans peter viggo henriksen and ingeborg christine jorgensen

Hi Marj

It would help a lot if you could narrow the living place of your ancestors down. That they travelled from Copenhagen don't tell much, as many people would have to depart from Copenhagen. I couldn't find your ancestors in the emigration database: http://www.emiarch.dk/search.php3?l=da Regards Knud

HI klud . My Ancesters Hans & Johanna Hansen came from Copenhagen to New Zealand in 1880 or thereabouts. My Great Grandmother was Annie Olivia Hansen, She was 12 years old at the time. She had a sister Christina who was injured & died in a Tram accident in 1882. She was 17 years old. She is buried with Hans & Johanna at Eastern Cemetry Invercargill New Zealand. I don't know anything more about the family. I knew Annie, who married Louis Anderson in NZ & then came to Tasmania where she died in 1952. I would dearly like to find where they came from in Denmark. Annie's death notice says Copenhagen. Thanks so much Regards Marj

Knud,

Later on, if you wish, by clicking on the 'Add' menu at the upper right hand corner of the page and selecting 'New Thing,' you can create free-space pages. There are a lot of creative things you can do with free-space pages, especially since you like local history and history in general. You can create a page for the town you grew up in, or a church your family attended, or a house your grandparents lived in and the good memories that came with it. Other ideas: family reunion pages, brick wall pages, census studies, any number of ideas free-space pages can be used for. As an example, here is one of mine.

Thank you, Knud, for volunteering to help grow our FREE, worldwide family tree.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

Hi everybody. I think it would be great if we could help each others exploring our ancestry in a responsible way without paying an enormous amount of money to commercial interests in the field. So I want to do my part.

About me: Living in Denmark. Born in North Jutland. I've been exploring my ancestry for 3-4 years. Also interested in local history and history in general. I've found a lot of family in USA and Canada.
