Biography

Ida Langlois was born on February 12, 1900 in Sandwich South Township, Essex, Ontario, Canada, daughter of Daniel Langlois (1867– ) and Delima Rose Rivard (1869– ).^[1]

In 1901, Ida (1) was in the household of her father, Daniel, in Essex (north/nord), Ontario. ^[2]

Ida (25) married Alfred Janisse (28) (born on April 13, 1897 in Sandwich West, Ontario; son of Francois Patrice Clement Janisse and Claire (Durocher) Janisse) on October 14, 1925 in Tecumseh, Ontario.^[3]

Ida died on April 26, 1979 in Windsor, Essex, aged 79. She was buried in Assumption Cemetery, Windsor, Essex County, Ontario.^[4]

Obituary

Mrs. Allred Janisse, age 79 years, the former Ida Langlois of 10th Concession, Sandwich South passed away on April 26th after a short stay in hospital. Her husband predeceased her in 1975. Deceased is survived by 3 children, Mark, Sylvain, and Godfrey, all of Windsor and her brother Raymond Langlois of Sandwich South. Funeral was held from Janisse Bros. Funeral Home to Assumption Church on Saturday. Interment in Assumption Cemetery. Published May 4th, 1979.
