Biography

John Scarsbrook Langhorne was born on 10 April 1760.[1]

Maj. John Scarsbrook Langhorne married Elizabeth Langhorne, daughter of his uncle Maj. Maurice Langhorne of Cumberland, on 16 Oct 1782,[1] thus uniting two lines of family inheritance. Marrying of cousins, a common practice among the wealthy families of Virginia and other colonies likewise, helped to keep money in the family.

John died in 1797.[1]

Langhorne-136 and Langhorne-52 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, born name year in same place to same exact parents. Married same wife. Died about 1791 or 1797 in same place (death date not known precisely). These are duplicate profiles for the same person and should be merged.
