Married - Landmeier - Dierking.

Miss Gertrude Landmeier, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Landmeier, of Elk Grove, and Mr. Henry Dierking, only son of Frank Dierking, of Manheim, were united in marriage at Rev. Wolf's church at 2 o'clock pm,, Sunday Dec. 15, 1907. The bride was dressed in white and wore bride roses the bridesmaids, Misses Freda Dierking and Edna Kolze of Manheim and Edna Landmeier, of Elk Grove, were also dressed in white. The groom was attended by Messrs Alfred Landmeier, of Elk Grove, Henry Rotermund, of Oak Park and George Goeddeke, of Itasca. The wedding party was conveyed to and from the church in decorated carriages driven by Ernest Knaak and Herman Languth, followed by a lot of friends in carriages. About 100 invited friends attended the reception and partook of the wedding feast, at the home of the bride's parents where the newly married couple were showered with rice. After supper all had a merry time singing, dancing and playing cards until 3 o'clock next morning. Wine, beer and cigars were served freely. The happy couple were the recipients of many presents. They will make their home on the Frank Dierking farm at Manheim, where the Herald wishes them much joy and prosperity.[1]
