Biography
Maria Lagotz was born about May or June 1819 (calculated based on her age at death given in her Death record), probably in Kay or Lochow (or anywhere in the area around & between Crossen and Züllichau = occurance of the rare name Lagotz).
She was my (Jacqui (Dymott) Moore) great great grandmother. She came from Kay, Züllichau-Schwiebus, Brandenburg, Prussia, to South Africa with her husband and daughter (records show son???).
Maria Burdack passed away on 2 Aug 1898, aged 79y 2m. Her Death record names her husband Johann August Burdack, daugther Augusta Pfitzer (+1894) and son Carl Burdack.
