Biography

Stanley Kurtish was born about 1897 in Durnsk, Poland, Russia & emigrated to Queensland, Australia possibly after the end of the Great War.^{[citation needed]}

Stanley Kurtish & Isabella Lennox were married 23rd December 1918 in Home Hill, Queensland, Australia.^[1]

After their marriage, they lived on his wife's brother's farm at Home Hill, during which period Stanley was only in work for a short time. In August, 1919, they moved to Mackay, where they lived until May, 1922. As Stanley was out of work, he suggested Bella should go and live with her family, and promised to send her money. She adopted his suggestion, but had received no communication or money from him. Isabella filed for a dissolution of their marriage on the grounds of desertion in 1928, which was granted at the Supreme Court of Queensland in Townsville on 17th April 1928.^{[2][3][4][5][6]}

Nothing further is known about Stanley after the dissolution of their marriage.
