Henry immigrated to America in 1908. He married Katie Prinz, also from Volga, Russia, in 1909. Henry and Katie Krause had eight children together and lived in Weld County, Colorado.

Henry Krause passed away at age 74 by cause of carbon monoxide poisoning in his apartment in Greeley, Weld, Colorado, in 1962.
