Biography

Erikki Jalmari Koski was born on June 10, 1919 in Vaasa, Finland. His parents were Herman Jalmari Juhonpoika Koski (September 23, 1891) and Fanny Maria Kallentytär Knooka (March 2, 1893). At the time of his birth his father was an ajuri. i.e. isvossikka taxi driver and making a good living.

He lived with his parents and worked at their stores as an Asiapoika is also called juoksupoika until the war. Then he joined the army and participated in the winter war.

After the war Erkki and Maj-Gret worked at Palosaarentie 6. Eventually they were partners with mother Fanny.

They all lived in the second floor Palosaarentie, Fanny and Jalmari in the big flat and Erkki with his family in the other end in the smaller flat. Herman was often at the office.

Erkki continued with F. Koski at Palosaari after retirement of Fanny and Jalmari, almost until his death 1983.
