His godparents were Tuomas Tuomaanpoika and Justina Simonintytär Pauhu, Antti Heikinpoika Loukko. The farm Pauhu is on the bottom middle right of the map. His bio is the same as his father. It will be noted when to come here.[5]

Between 1870-1978, Juho moved to the Rosendal farm, near the village of Alanurmo, Lapua Parish.. There he was a Renki or farmhand. Then he moved to the Kortesoja farm, near the village of Alanurmo, Lapua Parish where he was a Renki or farmhand.

In 1878 there was a famine. [6]

On a 1700 map the Kortesoja that shows up is the same as the one that shows up with the river bulging towards it on the link next. Also the surrounding farms are more properly placed with this Kortesoja. However today it is a district on the modern map. Click [7] ] However, the Kortesoja today is south of that so after viewing the "old" Kortesoja and coming back to the bio, click here right after viewing the results above and both will appear. [8]

Next he ended up on the Muilu farm, near the village of Ruha, Lapua parish. where he was a Renki or farmhand, and finally he ended up on his parents Koski farm where he had a communion Jul 17, 1881 This is apparently his first communion as taking communion does not appear on earlier records. So from late 1879 to Jul 81, he had been on the Rosendal, Kortesoja, Muilu, and Koski farms in succession. Also his name was Ristimäki on these farms. Like the family he had somehow got the name Ristimäki.

Next in 1883 he moved to the Siirilä farm, near the village of Alanurmo, Lapua parish, where he was a Renki. Next, Juho moved to the Leskelä farm, Alanurmo, Lapua Parish and had a communionHe stayed there and had a communion May 24, 1883. On the Siirilä farm, he had the Koski name back.

On March 30, 1883, Farmhand Johan Jaakko Jaakonpoika Leskelä. his last name at the time was engaged to Maid Anna Juhantytär Alasaari, her last name at the time. The witness was Gustaf Alasaari.

The Finns still had an army under Russian Rule. All young men were called up at a certain age. Here Juho is to be documented. Since he stayed on his land, and had a family, it does not look like he was pulled into the army. He was living on the farm Leskelä, Alanurmo at the time, and the name is perfect.

Juho, Sanna 1886, Maria, 1895 and Anna. It is most likely that the boys are Jalmari 1891, and Aukusti 1889 as Jaakko 1898 was a baby, and Juho Heikki may have moved to another farm.

The son Herman continues in his own bio here [16]

Arvi Ilmari was born May 12, 1901 and was baptized May 19, 1901.

In the 1905 tax rolls Juho and his family appear both on the Ylisaari farm, then the Ilkka farm. In 1910 he is on the Ilkka farm with his son as below. Although Juho Heikki is already in Canada, the Finns often still kept them in the tax rolls.

At Jalmari's cottage about 1924

Juho, being a carpenter, was very pedantic with his tools. He was not too happy when Erkki and Heikki had been hammering some nails into the chipping log. They had to twist the grindstone after Juho's axe got some damage with those nails when he chipped some wood for the oven.

In the 30's Juho and Anna used to spend their summers at the Jalmari's cottage.
