Biography
Mary A. C. Kornegay was born on 22 April 1848 in North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter of Colonel Henry Robert Kornegay and Jennette (Williams) Kornegay (1824-1868).
In the 1850 census Mary, age 2 years. was enumerated in the household of Robert Kornegay in Neuse (South Side), Wayne County, North Carolina. Though relationships were not stated she was assumed to be the daughter of Robert Kornegay.[1]
Mary A. C. Kornegay was 12 years old when the 1860 United States Census was taken. She was recorded in the household of H. R. Kornegay who was assumed to be her father. Mary and her family were living in North Division, Duplin County, North Carolina.[2]
Mary died on 19 October 1867, likely in North Carolina, at the age of 19 years. She was buried in Glisson-Kornegay Cemetery, Duplin County, North Carolina.[3]
