Florence Knighton was born in Huntingdonshire, England.
Florence Knighton died young.

Florence was born on February 12, 1912 in Yaxley, Huntingdonshire.[1] She was the eldest child and only daughter of Ernest Knighton and Ethel Robinson.

She was baptised on April 7, 1912 at the Church of St Mary and St Botolph in Thorney, Cambridgeshire.[2]

Florence died of influenza and pneumonia at the young age of six on December 14, 1918.[3] Her father was being held as a prisoner of war and arrived back in England just in time for her funeral which took place in Yaxley on December 17, 1918.[4][5]

  4. Peterborough Advertiser, 21 Dec 1918 edition. YAXLEY - On Saturday afternoon the funeral took place at the cemetery of Florence Ethel Knighton, daughter of Lance Corporal E. Knighton and Mrs Knighton of Middleton Street. The father just arrived home in time for the funeral from Belgium where he had been held as a prisoner of war by the Germans.
