No evidence of a marriage for Charner Knight prior to wife Tabitha and no earlier children found. Unusually given name makes for difficulty locating on census and use of initials only make validation hard. If anyone has any actual sources for Abner and Thomas Knight's parents, please share. Thank you!
Update: I shared a document, which I obtained from a fellow Charner Knight descendant (Sara Latham Barry) and which I attached to Charner Knight's profile, written by Reverend Tolliver Robertson (1800-1878). In the document, Rev. Robertson recalls and asserts that he married Charner Knight and Miss Davis.--Linda (Johnson) Leslie (see source below)
The names from this to the end of the book I married before I made a record; therefore, I cannot give the day and date....Charner Knight and Miss Davis.
