This family belongs to a friend who is now in residential aged care but still interested in the family history so I am helping out putting all on wikitree. She is intrigued where the William Penn comes from - presumably a Quaker reference?

Joan was my mother and she married James Rodwell in approx 1945. They lived in East Africa from 1946 to 1966 then returned to UK to Herne Bay, Kent. Maud Ethel was a nurse in a London hospital tending first world ward wounded. David Spence Whyte 2nd Lt. served with London Irish regiment in WW1.
