Biography

Amy Kitchen was born on 15 June 1862 in Chadlington. She was the daughter of Edward Kitchen and his wife Sarah, born Sarah Pratt. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

1871 census: Amy Kitchen was living in East End at Chadlington with her parents, Edward and Sarah, and their other children. Her age was given as 8, implying a birth date in 1862 or 1863. Her birthplace was given as Chadlington, Oxfordshire. She was at school. ^[3]

1911 census: Amy Fitzmaurice was living at 8 Corunna Place, Stewarts Road in Battersea in London with her husband Thomas and 2 of their children. Her age was given as 47, implying a birth date in 1863 or 1864. Her birthplace was given as Chadlington, Oxfordshire. She was working as a maternity nurse, on her own account. It was stated that Thomas and Amy had been married for 27 complete years and had had 9 children together, 6 of whom had died. ^[4]

Amy Fitzmaurice died on 7 April 1935 in Battersea. ^[5]

Amy was buried in April 1935 in Streatham Park Cemetery.
