William Kirkpatrick of Conheath was born in 1736 as the son of Robert Kirkpatrick of Glenkiln and Henrietta Gillespie. He was baptised on 18 March 1736 in Kirkmichael, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.[1]
William married Mary Wilson of Kelton and they had seven sons and twelve daughters. The eldest son was named John. William passed away in 1787. [2]
