Biography
Fabian Kirby has Danish ancestors
Fabian Lon Kirby was born about 1922, likely in Riverview Township, Moody, South Dakota, United States. He was the son of farmer Fay Kirby and Marie Sørensen.
In 1925 he was two years old, and lived on his father's farm in the same area.[1]
After his younger brother Francis was born in 1925, Fabian's family went back north to Elmsthorpe, Saskatchewan, Canada to farm.[2]
In the 1931 census Fabian (age 8), Student, was the son of Fay Kirby (age 38, Section Man/steam railroad), and Marie (age 33), in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.[3]
Fabian married Margaret H. Russell and had four children. In his obituary, he was known to be a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather.[4]
Fabian passed away at 70 yrs. old in Milk River, Alberta, Canada. He was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Fabian was mentioned on a memorial in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Calgary, Calgary Census Division, Alberta, Canada with a death date of 25 Apr 1993.[5][6]
