Biography

Jane was born in 1818 in Duddingston, Edinburghshire^[1]. Her parents were Jeremiah KIRBY and Elisabeth THOMSON.

The ship, Canton, set sail from Plymouth, England on 20 May 1835 with 17 year old Jane KIRBY aboard. It arrived at Spring Cove, New South Wales on 8 Sep 1835^[2].

Jane (Kirby ) and Alfred Woolley were married Feb 1st 1840 in The Church of England, Saint James, Sydney New South Wales, Australia^[3][4]. They had nine children, five boys and four girls. Their second son died in 1876 and the record list both parents and he was buried at Amidale Shire New Sydney, South Wales Australia

She passed away in 1905 in St Kilda, Victoria^[5] and was buried at the St. Kilda Cemetery^[6].
