Florence Kirby (married name Mansfield) was born on 12 August 1883 in Kew, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Emma (Angel) Kirby and Thomas Henry Kirby.^[1]

She married Percy Allen Mansfield on 23 April 1906 in Kew.^[2] Their children were:

• Doris Ethel Mansfield (1906–1976)^[3]
• Thomas A. Mansfield (1900s–1980s)^{[citation needed]}
• Phyllis May Mansfield (1911–1973)^[4]
• Kenneth Arnold Mansfield (1914–2010?)^[5]
