Biography

Douglas King died young.
Douglas King was born in Appalachia, in West Virginia.
Douglas died the same day that he was born. His death certificate lists the cause as premature.[1][2]


He is buried in Point Mountain Cemetery in Webster Springs, WV, side-by-side with his brother Dewey. [3]


My grandmother, Douglas's mother, never much spoke of Douglas or her infant son, Dewey King. I would go with her every year to put flowers on their graves, as well as her other relatives buried in the same cemetery. She wouldn't speak but always spent a minute or two longer at their graves which are side-by-side. When she herself was nearing death, I finally heard her speak of them. She said it was time to meet her sons she never got to raise and grow up. Craig-4574 14:07, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
